The Holiday Gift Drive is Fostering Wishes’ flagship program, designed to bring joy and warmth to foster children during the holiday season. Each year, we collaborate with businesses and the community to provide gifts, ensuring every foster child receives something special just for them. But the gifts represent more than material items—they carry a message that these children are remembered, valued, and cared for, even in challenging times. The Holiday Gift Drive offers more than presents; it fosters hope, connection, and a sense of belonging, making the holidays brighter for hundreds of foster children each year.
About The Drive
Every holiday season, Fostering Wishes partners with local retailers, professionals, and restaurants in Downtown Danville and Lafayette who generously host our signature “Wish Trees.”
Each Wish Tree is decorated with tags representing gift wishes shared with us by local foster agencies. When you visit one of our partner locations, you can:
Pick a Wish Tag – Choose a gift wish from the tree, purchase the item, and return the unwrapped gift to the same establishment.
Shop Online – Select a gift from our Amazon Wish List, and it will be shipped directly to us for delivery to foster agencies.
Donate Directly - make a financial donation that ensures that every child receives a gift
All donated gifts are gathered, sorted, and delivered to foster youth in time for the holidays—reminding them that they are cared for and celebrated by their community,
